Gemini X - non Linear +
The Non-Linear+ package combines the non-linear characterisation with powerful self-learning algorithms and an extensive database. As a result, the system can learn and model the complete linear and non-linear distortion that will take place during the manufacturing process.
In addition to the materials and process database, the stack-up module utilises detailed copper distribution information from CAM files to predict the distortions. The predicted distortion information is used to create “inverse distortion” compensation files for use with non-linear enabled CAM systems.
The stack-up module features an interactive graphic display of the distortions allowing the predicted effects of applying compensations to be seen. Ultimately determining the minimum design rule that could be achieved with the given combination of materials, processes and copper designs.
